Sunday Soccer Clinics
The fall clinics aim to introduce participants to essential technical abilities, emphasizing correct techniques and their practical use within an enjoyable and encouraging setting. These proficiencies will be further refined through simulated game scenarios, enhancing performance during actual gameplay. Each session encompasses technical instruction, simulated game experiences, and actual matches. Ensuring that every player receives personalized guidance from experienced coaches. Led by Varsity Soccer Coach, Joey Yusunas. Players will need to bring a soccer ball, shin guards, and a water bottle.
All clinics are for co-ed players in 3rd to 8th grades of all skill levels.

Friday Futsal League
Futsal Fridays are designed to expose players to the game of futsal in a fun, positive environment. Each session will include technical training specific to futsal transitioning to games where players will learn to think quickly and play quickly. Each player will receive individual attention from qualified coaches.
Friday Futsal is for co-ed players in 3rd to 8th grades of all skill levels.

Joey is the Athletics Program Manager, Director of Soccer, and Head Coach of the Boys’ Varsity Soccer Team at The Bishop’s School. In his first year as Head Coach in 2022, his team won a CIF Championship. He is also an alumnus of Bishop’s and won three CIF Championships as a player. His club experience includes Nomads SC and Claremont Sta
Joey is the Athletics Program Manager, Director of Soccer, and Head Coach of the Boys’ Varsity Soccer Team at The Bishop’s School. In his first year as Head Coach in 2022, his team won a CIF Championship. He is also an alumnus of Bishop’s and won three CIF Championships as a player. His club experience includes Nomads SC and Claremont Stars, where he won two National Championships. This led him to play for the Bruins of UCLA, where his playing career ended. Currently, he is an Academy Scout for LAFC and has been scouting for MLS teams since 2012.

Joey Yusunas
Jason is the Boys’ Junior Varsity Head Coach at The Bishop’s School and has been since 2023. He was also a Nomads SC player and a member of the Armstrong family who founded the club. He moved on to play at UMass Boston and then returned to San Diego to coach full-time with La Jolla Impact and has been with the club since 2018. He is currently coaching high school-aged teams.

Mychal is The Bishop’s School’s Boys’ Varsity Assistant Coach and has been since 2023. He played his entire club career for the DMCV Sharks and played four years for Townson University.

Ty is the Goalkeeper Coach for The Bishop’s School’s Soccer Program. He attended La Jolla High School and won a CIF Championship as a player. He played for multiple clubs including Minnesota Thunder, Sporting CA Arsenal, DMCV Sharks and Nott’s Forest. After his club career, he played at Mesa College.
